Single Port Robotic Ileal Conduit Through Planned Stoma Site
This video demonstrates single-port robotic ileal conduit creation using the planned stoma site as the primary robotic access site in a 61-year-old woman with neurogenic bladder, chronic suprapubic catheter dependence, and persistent urinary leakage. The operative sequence includes ileal segment isolation, stapled restoration of bowel continuity, bilateral Bricker ureteroileal anastomoses with stenting, conduit exteriorization, and stoma maturation. Postoperatively, urinary leakage was suspected and managed with bilateral nephrostomy drainage; a urine leak was later confirmed during a subsequent hospitalization. The case highlights the technical steps of planned-stoma-site single-port urinary diversion while emphasizing the importance of postoperative leak surveillance and transparent reporting of complications.
